| Help the Environment - and Your SWCD at the Same Time..... |
|
The Warrick County
SWCD has been sponsoring an ink cartridge recycling program
for some time now that can help the environment and at the same time help
to raise funds for its local conservation programs. And now, we
are accepting retired cell phones for recycling. With the SWCD's recycling program, these items can be kept out of our landfills, helping the environment and at the same time generate funds for the conservation program in Warrick County. The SWCD has placed several displays and recycling bags in various businesses around the County for use by those who are environmentally conscious and wish to make good use of these no-longer-needed items. Simply take a bag for each used cartridge, enclose them in their original packaging (if available), or the packaging from replacements in the postage-paid bags, and drop them in the mail. Cell phones may be
mailed in the same bags (please - no accessories such as leather cases,
clips, chargers, or user manuals). Just place one phone in each
postage-paid envelope, press it sealed, and drop in the mail. The SWCD
will receive $1 for each cartridge and cell phone recycled. |
